1. Trevor Lawrence, Clemson

Lawrence is widely regarded as not only the best prospect in not only the 2021 Draft, but the best prospect since Andrew Luck was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in 2012.

At 6’6″ and 220 pounds, Lawrence has impressive physical size and tools. Lawrence has excellent arm strength, and is able to put the ball anywhere he wants on the field with accuracy, zip, our touch. He can do it all with his arm.

Lawrence can also move the chains with his legs. Before his sophomore season in 2019, Lawrence added weight and worked on his ability to move, which ultimately paid off in the College Football Playoffs against Ohio State.

Along with Lawrence’s physical tools, he has the pedigree of a number one overall pick. Lawrence has played in 36 games at Clemson, including back to back National Championship games. For his career, Lawrence has 8,778 passing yards on 662 completions for a completion percentage of 66.5.

Lawrence also has 83 passing touchdowns to go with 14 interceptions. As mentioned above, Lawrence can do it with his legs as well, as seen on 811 rushing yards with 14 touchdowns, per Pro Football Reference.

With Lawrence’s pedigree and skillset, he is a lock to be the number one pick come draft night. The New York Jets currently hold the first pick, and will likely maintain their standing as the worst team throughout the season.

If the Denver Broncos want Lawrence, it would take multiple future first-round picks, as well as young stars to get the New York Jets to even listen to a trade offer. Denver will likely be out on the Lawrence sweepstakes, but if the Denver Broncos should end up in a position to take Lawrence, you take him. Period.
