Eric Bieniemy

Current role: Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator

Eric Bieniemy is a name that has been connected to head coaching vacancies for at least the last two seasons and to some degree, it’s a bit of a surprise that he hasn’t already gotten a job. It’s all but certain that he eventually will.

His detractors will argue that Andy Reid is the reason that Kansas City’s offense is the juggernaut that it is, but that even if that is true, there is no denying that Bieniemy has received valuable experience by being a part of it.

Getting to game plan with a guy like Patrick Mahomes on your side is only going to make you better and perhaps some of that could rub off on the Broncos and their offense.

Bieniemy also has a local connection having played his college ball in Boulder at Colorado, meaning many fans would likely approve the selection.

With his last two hires, John Elway has chosen a defensive-minded coach and it’s time the Broncos go the other way and bring in an offensive-minded guy like they should have with either Kyle Shanahan or Sean McVay a couple of years ago.

Bieniemy should be at the top of any team’s wish list and a team like the Houston Texans, who have already fired their coach this season, could already be setting the table for him.

If he’s available, the Broncos could take from their bitter division rival and try to bring some of that success along with him. Bieniemy would be a great choice for the Broncos.
