Stock Down

Davontae Harris, CB

Although the Broncos’ secondary was given a tall order following the loss of A.J. Bouye and Bryce Callahan, it felt as if it could not have been a worse day for corner Davontae Harris.

While it had felt as if the Broncos’ secondary may be given a break with Falcons’ star receiver Calvin Ridley inactive with a foot injury, this was not to be.

In fact, it became a true “next man up” game for the Falcons’ offense. In the wake of Ridley’s absence, receiver Olamide Zaccheaus had a huge performance, finishing the day with just four receptions, but 103 yards, a touchdown, and a long reception of 51 yards. Zaccheaus’ success came also primarily against Davontae Harris.

In a series of blunders by the Denver Broncos on the day, this one seemed to loom the largest.

Hopefully, the Broncos will have A.J. Bouye and Bryce Callahan back next week, or at the very least, one of them. Everyone has a bad day at this office, but this one was particularly brutal for Harris.
