The matchup between the Denver Broncos and Atlanta Falcons will be a little bit more even.
When the Denver Broncos take on the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, both sides will be without some of their bigger stars.
For the Broncos, cornerback A.J. Bouye and defensive lineman Shelby Harris will be out. Bouye suffered a concussion last week against the Chargers while Harris was ruled out due to COVID protocols.
Harris told the team last week that he was in close contact with somebody who has COVID. He himself does not have it, per testing.
The Broncos will have the following players on the defensive line vs the Falcons:
Broncos have elevated S Alijah Holder from practice squad to game-day roster. He is COVID replacement for Shelby Harris.

5 D-Linemen vs ATL: Dre’Mont Jones, DeMarcus Walker, DeShawn Williams, Sylvester Williams, McTelvin “Sosa” Agim. #9sports
Dre’Mont Jones, DeMarcus Walker, DeShawn Williams, Sylvester Williams, and McTelvin Agim.
Williams was brought back a few weeks ago after a couple of years on other teams. He was a first-round pick by the Broncos back in 2013.
Agim will get his first game action on Sunday after being inactive for every game this year. This will be an interesting game to see him at work. Hopefully he can make an impact in the run game against Todd Gurley and Co.
For the Falcons, they will be missing some key offensive firepower with wide receiver Calvin Ridley out. Ridley suffered a sprained foot last week against the Panthers.
While Ridley is out, the Broncos still have a tough test, as Julio Jones is obviously the Falcons’ top wide receiver. With Bouye out, it would not be a surprise to see Jones having a field day against the Broncos’ young secondary. The Broncos could possibly put two defensive backs on Jones all game.
The Broncos will get running back Phillip Lindsay for today’s matchup. Lindsay had been dealing with turf toe but was able to play last week against the Chargers.
Unfortunately, the Broncos will be without cornerback Bryce Callahan, who is dealing with an ankle injury. Callahan participated in practice on a limited basis on Thursday and Friday.
At cornerback, the Broncos will have rookie Michael Ojemudia (who has been quite a surprise in a good way), Kevin Toliver, Davontae Harris, Duke Dawson and Essang Bassey. It is likely going to be a tough test for these cornerbacks with Julio Jones on the other side.
Return man Diontae Spencer is also inactive. He was ruled out earlier in the week with a shoulder injury.
Officially, the Broncos’ inactive list is quite short.
