Garett Bolles

It was not a terrible game by any means from Garett Bolles, but he did get penalized three times on Sunday. Luckily, none of them came at a time where the game was getting down to the wire. However, he could be pinpointed to some of the early struggles.

His first penalty was called on the Broncos third possession of the game. On the same play Drew Lock was sacked, he was flagged for an illegal block above the waist. Instead of losing two yards, they would lose ten. Denver would only get nine of those yards back, forcing a punt.

His second penalty was an offset one due to defensive hands to the face call. But Broncos Country was treated to the annoying holding, number 72, offense call that drives us all crazy. Had he not held, the Broncos would have kept a decent drive going while they still had the lead. Denver would lose two yards on a rush and only complete a nine-yard pass in the next two plays, forcing a punt.

His last penalty came at nearly a critical time, but Denver would eventually recover as he was called for a false start on the drive after Bryce Callahan’s interception.

Three penalties, two accepted is no bueno. Hopefully, this was just a hiccup.
