With the Broncos facing the Chargers in Week 8, I go behind enemy lines to see the state of the AFC West rivals.

As it currently stands, the Denver Broncos are in quite an

odd spot six games into the 2020 season. Currently sitting at 2-4, they will likely need a win on Sunday to get some momentum going, especially after the 43-16 destruction at the hands of the Kansas City Chiefs.

It will be very difficult to rebound if this team starts 2-5 after the first seven games. Denver would virtually have to win out to have a legitimate chance to reach the postseason. With the remaining schedule after the Chargers game, 2-5 would not be ideal.

The Chargers are in the same boat as well. They have a new starting quarterback in Justin Herbert. However, it did not lead to wins until last Sunday. Now, the Chargers have been in close games during that tough stretch. This, however, is a must-win game for them as well.

The last thing any team wants to be is at the bottom of their own division. So, these two teams will battle it out for third place in the AFC West. Denver will need to execute some key matchups to win this game.

With such an important game on the horizon, I decided to go behind enemy lines and chat with Chargers fan Robert Kenaston. Here is what he has to say about the state of the Chargers.

Ty: The Chargers have been in some close games this season. What would you say is the reason behind not being able to finish the close games?

Robert: Honestly that has been a question on everyone’s minds for years? Is it a curse? Is lady luck just not on our side? Or is it just poor clock management?

Ty: Justin Herbert has looked really impressive since taking over as the starting quarterback, despite the team’s struggles. What is your assessment of him in his first five games?

Robert: He is very impressive. He is calm under pressure and makes good decisions. He will definitely be a top tier QB in a few years

Ty: What odds do you give the Chargers in reaching the postseason in 2020 or is this team still trying to find its identity?

Robert: I don’t see us making the postseason at all. We have a tough division plus the AFC is stacked with very talented teams. We found our identity strong defense and a growing offense. Look we had KC until the 4th quarter

Ty: The Chargers travel to face the Broncos. What do you believe it will take to get the win?

Robert: I think we need to come out strong and not make any mistakes. I feel we are right there but I can’t put my finger on it

dark. Next. Broncos' game plan to beat the Chargers

Ty: Which player on the Chargers could be a dark horse to make an impact in Sunday’s game?

Robert: I think it’s time for Henry to come out and prove he is a top tight end

Thank You Robert for taking the time out to chat with me. May the best team win.
