The Broncos’ Offense

After Sunday, it is pretty easy to group the entire offense into one when discussing the obvious fact that the Denver Broncos will not be vying for a playoff spot weeks from now if the offense does not improve and start scoring more points.

Of course, this begins with guys like Drew Lock, who excited Broncos Country early on when he took the ball in himself on a QB sneak, but that optimism died quickly with a performance from Lock that was rocky at best.

Lock’s biggest issue continues to be his decision making, and inability to respond under pressure. Lock has shown flashes of absolute brilliance, and perhaps he is just rusty from a few weeks on the sideline.

Meanwhile, guys like Melvin Gordon, Royce Freeman, KJ Hamler, and Jerry Jeudy are not getting it done, either.

Melvin Gordon’s turnovers continue to be costly, and so far, the Broncos continue to need more out of Jerry Jeudy.

Of course, Jeudy is progressing at a normal rookie pace, but the Denver Broncos need more than that when they are missing their WR1 in Courtland Sutton. This offense looked majorly flawed in every aspect outside of Phillip Lindsay against the Chiefs.

Here’s hoping that this unit has shaken off some rust in time to take on the divisional rival LA Chargers, in what is emerging as a must-win for the team.
