Chiefs Sign Le’Veon Bell

The Denver Broncos had a new running back to game plan for this week, with the Chiefs signing former Steelers’ standout back Le’Veon Bell, who had most recently ended a turbulent tenure with the New York Jets.

How Bell integrates into the Chiefs’ locker room will be interesting to see. Many may also be wondering what Bell’s role with the Chiefs will be against the Denver Broncos on Sunday afternoon.

It would be expected that if the Broncos see much of Bell, it would only be in situational football, or perhaps short distance situation. Expect Clyde Edwards-Helaire to still be the primary back for the Chiefs.

Broncos Get Healthier in Time For Key AFC West Matchup

It is no secret that the Denver Broncos have come out of the gate as one of the most banged up teams league wide, still missing Courtland Sutton, Von Miller and Jurrell Casey, who Fangio does not expect to see back this season.

However, the Broncos get a lot healthier for the Chiefs’ matchup with the news that tight end Noah Fant, cornerback A.J. Bouye, and wide receiver K.J. Hamler will all return for Sunday’s game.

This is huge news, and gives the Denver Broncos a huge boost, especially on the offensive side of the ball. Tight end production has been slow since Fant was sidelined with an ankle injury. This will give Drew Lock one of his most physical targets back.
