Following a slow start to the season, Bradley Chubb seems to be turning up the heat at the right time.

After failing to record a single sack in the first three games of the season, Bradley Chubb has been relatively quiet rushing the passer early this year. With Von Miller out on a season-ending injury, all eyes quickly turned to Chubb to bring the pressure on defense.

Unfortunately, coming off an ACL injury, it was clear that it would take some time for Chubb to feel like his old self again.

Flashforward to Week 7 and the Broncos are riding a two-game win streak with Chubb’s contributions playing a major factor in both. He has recorded at least a sack in each game and is beginning to wreak havoc in opposing backfields.

Last week against the Patriots, Bradley Chubb managed to get a strip-sack on Cam Newton after bringing pressure all game long. He went on to earn himself a defensive player grade of 91.1 on the day, according to PFF.

One thing worth noticing however, is the level of talent he’s faced the past two weeks compared to those of weeks prior.

Regardless, it’s nice to see Chubb take advantage of any opportunities with mismatches at the line of scrimmage. It could be the jump start of confidence he needs to get this season rolling.

This Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs, Chubb has a chance to pick up where he left off last week. Chiefs tackle Mitchell Schwartz will be out, marking his first missed start in the entirety of his nine-year career.

Chubb will have to make the most of his matchup against Mike Remmers, who will be stepping in for Schwartz, if the Broncos stand a chance at pumping the brakes on the Chiefs offensive unit.
