Denver Broncos Week 7 power rankings roundup

Week 7 Power Rankings Roundup
NFL.com: (21st this week; Last week: 27th). They credit the Broncos for being able to pull off a victory despite a couple late picks by Drew Lock. Here is something I have an issue with, though:
“Lock failed to get the Broncos into the end zone in his return to the lineup…”
While it may be true that the Broncos scored only field goals in this game, there were a number of passes by Lock that were dropped, including three by rookie tight end Albert Okwuegbunam.
ESPN (24th this week; 28th last week): ESPN listed each team’s most severe injury for the 2020 season (and there has been a lot). For the Broncos? You guessed it: Von Miller.
Miller has been the team’s biggest defensive star for a long time but they also lost A.J. Bouye for a couple of weeks, and Jurrell Casey for the remainder of the season.
The point is, there’s been so many injuries that people have been suggesting that the Broncos could be in play for the first overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Now that Drew Lock is back, that idea can be put to rest.
Bleacher Report (This Week: 21st; Last Week: 27th): Bleacher Report points out that while the Broncos won last week, they won in spite of quarterback Drew Lock, who threw two interceptions. The fact of the matter is that Lock is still learning. Despite him being in his second year with the Broncos, he’s still a rookie in terms of games played.
Next. Denver Broncos should make Albert Okwuegbunam TE2. dark
Patience needs to be focused on with Lock. We can’t expect perfection, but we also have to find out if he can be the long-term solution for the Broncos at the quarterback position—something they’ve struggled to find since the retirement of Peyton Manning.
