Drew Lock, QB

In Lock’s highly anticipated return to the field, he did not do enough to lose the game but did not do enough to win it, either.

Drew Lock finished the day 10/24 for 189 yards, 0 TD’s, 2 INTs, and a QBR of just 19.7. Of course, QBR is unimportant, but Lock’s performance is a pretty good reflection of it. Lock made some big-time throws but also took too big of gambles at times.

It is reassuring that Lock is not afraid to put one deep downfield, but he also must learn when the opportunity is there, and when it is not, and when he must play it safe. More so, Lock has to learn when to just throw the ball away.

Lock threw interceptions on two consecutive drives. If it were not for the Denver defense, this likely would have killed the Broncos. These mistakes, along with no TD’s on the day, unfortunately, result in Lock’s stock trending downward for the week.

Granted, Lock is fresh off of a month away from the field. Hopefully, he will be good as new in short order.
