3. Tim Patrick’s breakout?

Once Courtland Sutton went down with a shoulder injury and then a knee injury, there was plenty of doom and gloom talk.

Apparently, there was not enough talk about how well Tim Patrick would play in Sutton’s place.

Patrick has a touchdown grab in two straight games heading into the Denver Broncos’ matchup against the New England Patriots, and he’s caught 10 of 11 targets for 156 yards in the last two games as well.

Against the New York Jets, Patrick played the best game of his NFL career to date with 113 yards (a career-high) and some tough, clutch catches throughout.

The Broncos relied on Courtland Sutton to create offense in 2019 and he did that in spades. They may not have the same kind of expectations for Tim Patrick, but he’s already exceeded what I personally saw him as capable of and he’s on his way to the best season of his career, by far.
