The injures for the Broncos continue as Noah Fant will now be taking some time off.

Injuries and coronavirus cases have impacted the 2020 NFL season. The team that seems to be hit the most by the injury aspect of the season is the Denver Broncos. Noah Fant is the latest Bronco to suffer an injury in 2020.

During Denver’s Thursday night contest with the New York Jets, Fant was hurt while running with the football and ended up getting carted to the locker room. It turns out that Fant did suffer an ankle injury. According to Adam Schefter, the tight end will end up missing at least the upcoming game against the New England Patriots.

It should be noted that Denver’s next opponent is dealing with Cam Newton testing positive for the coronavirus and their game against the Kansas City Chiefs will be postponed on Sunday. The game will take place later on.

The reason I mention this is that it could impact the Week 5 matchup. Will the Broncos play the Patriots as scheduled? If so, that could impact on Fant playing in the game.

Other tight ends like Jake Butt and Nick Vannett should see more playing time.

With Fant going down, Jake Butt and Nick Vannett will likely see more time in the offense. This also means that Albert Okwuegbunam could see some time at least for one game. Nothing like this season to see what you have on the offensive side of the ball.

As far as Noah Fant is concerned, at least this is not a huge blow to the offense. The best case is that he returns for the next contest against the Miami Dolphins. The important part is for him to get healthy and prepared.

Injuries have been really rough for the Broncos. At least with this one, it is not as severe as what the team has dealt with over the first four weeks of the NFL season.
