Denver Broncos: Tim Patrick and other stars in win vs. Jets
1. Tim Patrick, WR
The Denver Broncos lost Courtland Sutton to a major knee injury for the entire 2020 season. Kudos to Tim Patrick for turning it up the past couple of weeks.
Against the New York Jets, it’s not a stretch in the least to say that Patrick had his best game as a professional football player. Back in 2018, Patrick made some clutch catches in close victories for the Denver Broncos, and he was up to a lot more of that against the Jets.
Patrick had a career-high 113 yards on six receptions as well as his second touchdown in as many games.
Some of the plays Patrick made in this one were Sutton-esque.

These were huge, critical, game-changing plays that Patrick made. It felt like just about every catch he made was noteworthy in this one, including a couple of plays over 30 yards.
Patrick has been working his way up to the top of the depth chart for three years. Over the course of the offseason, I feel like I sold him short and he deserves credit for playing the best game of his NFL career.
