3. Just stop it with Nick Vannett

At this point, it’s hard to quantify what the Denver Broncos are really getting out of Nick Vannett.

It’s early in the season, of course, but Vannett hasn’t offered anything in the way of tremendous blocking, pass-catching ability, red zone production, or even just discipline on the field to not make horrible mental errors.

Vannett was the target on one of Brett Rypien’s three interceptions against the Jets, he has two false start penalties on the year, and on six targets in three games he has two catches for one yard.

Why did the Broncos not just stick with Jeff Heuerman?

Because he also doesn’t play special teams, the Broncos even deactivated Vannett against the Buccaneers.

It doesn’t make sense why Vannett is playing over Jake Butt or even Albert Okwuegbunam, who offers tremendous athletic upside, at least.
