Brett Rypien to get his first NFL start
While it will not settle easily for the Denver Broncos to have their ninth starting quarterback since Peyton Manning’s retirement, it will be Brett Rypien season on Thursday night as the team has made the decision to start the former Boise State quarterback.
The Broncos brought Rypien in as an undrafted free agent last season. He spent time on and off the practice squad in 2019. Due to the injury to Lock, he was brought up and played in his first game last Sunday.
He did well until an interception that just completed the night for the Broncos. With a full, short week of practice, we will get to see what he can do on Thursday.

The injuries continue to pile up for the Denver Broncos. After the game, it was revealed that Jurrell Casey will be lost for the remainder of the season due to a torn bicep. Reports indicated that he hurt the bicep during the Steelers game and it became unbearable last Sunday.
Austin Calitro and Elijah Wilkinson were also placed on injured reserve due to a hamstring and fractured shin respectfully. With those three players headed to injured reserve, it brings quite a shocking number for Denver.

That is quite alarming for a team to have that many players with that high of a total salary. This could be one of the biggest cases of injury bugs that I have ever seen in my years of watching football.
There is not much to say except next man up.
