New York Jets wide receiver Jamison Crowder is really the only offensive weapon to speak of on the team at this particular point in time, and he’s going to try to play against the Broncos while dealing with a hamstring injury.

Crowder has always played mostly out of the slot in his NFL career, which means he will get a heavy dose of matchups against rookie Essang Bassey, who has essentially been a starter for the Broncos through three quarters of the season.

The Broncos have yet to really get any sort of ‘splash’ from Bassey even though the defense has played solid and he’s been just fine out there, especially considering the circumstances and the fact that he is an undrafted rookie who had a shortened offseason.

With Crowder the Jets’ top target in the passing game, there will unquestionably be opportunities for Bassey to make plays on the ball and the Broncos desperately need him to.
