Prediction 3: Big day for K.J. Hamler

Sutton is out and Jerry Jeudy is listed as questionable for this contest. Driskel is going to have to have somewhere to go with the football, so why not have it be a big coming-out party for the second-round pick K.J. Hamler?

Hamler made his NFL debut last week against the Steelers, catching three passes for 48 yards and averaging 16 yards per catch. Other defenses don’t have much film to review when preparing for Hamler.

Tampa Bay is a team that can be thrown against, giving up 264 yards through the air in the first two games. Hamler will be able to test the secondary with his speed and he will be targeted several times in this game, especially if Jeudy sits the contest out.

There are many Broncos fans who have questioned the team using back-to-back picks on wide receivers in the first two rounds of the NFL draft but in this game, Hamler will show why he was drafted so high.

Look for him to at least double his output last week, which would put him at six receptions for 96 yards. I’d expect better numbers in each category.
