Stock Down

Elijah Wilkinson, OT

Elijah Wilkinson was asked to fill a big role this offseason when Ja’Wuan James made the decision to opt-out of the 2020 season in order to protect his family’s health during the COVID-19 pandemic.

On Sunday, against Pittsburgh, Wilkinson had a bad day at work, having to go up against TJ Watt. While Wilkinson only ended the day with one sack against him, he looked like a revolving door all game long.

It is not far fetched to say that Jeff Driskel is a lot less mobile than Drew Lock. To protect Driskel, the line must hold their blocks and allow him more time and freedom to move around and make his throws. Not even to mention must play better to keep Driskel healthy.

And right now, Elijah Wilkinson is the weak link on this offensive line and has to get better if he wants to keep his starting job.
