Phillip Lindsay and Melvin Gordon

There is a lot to be watching for here.

Many were surprised when the Broncos signed Melvin Gordon during free agency, considering the team already had Phillip Lindsay. In the media, Lindsay has said all the right things, but how does he really feel about the signing of Gordon?

Gordon likely still feels he is an elite back, but after the Los Angeles Chargers basically let him walk, is he still on that level? Both of these players will likely be playing this game and most likely the entire season with chips on their shoulders.

And how will the carries be divided out? Will this be a true 50-50 split, or does new offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur have something else in store for this particular game plan?

It is going to be interesting to see Gordon in orange and blue and it will be equally  interesting to see how Lindsay is mixed in considering he has rushed for 1,000 yards in each of his first two seasons in the league.

There is a lot to watch for and a lot riding on this season-opening game. The Titans lead the all-time series 23-18-1, dating back to the old AFL days when they were once known as the Houston Oilers.

Denver shutout the Titans 16-0 in their meeting last season.
