NFL Bloodlines

The son of the Houston Texans OLBs coach, Chris Rumph II is an incredibly talented and versatile player. Per PFF, he posted a 33.1 percent pass-rush win rate from the edge and a 28.8 percent rate from the interior. A chess piece that Coach Vic Fangio can move around his defensive front, Rumph is a player that the Broncos could probably wait until day 2 to draft. How could such a skilled player fall that far?

Chris stands at only 6-foot-3, 225 pounds. While a guy like Roche can get away with being a bit undersized, 225 pounds is just too light for an EDGE at the next level.

Rumph will need to add mass to his frame if he wants to rush the passer in the NFL. Turning on any Duke tape shows a guy that can still win with power at his smaller size, and who has an impressive amount of moves in his repertoire.

He has to put on a large amount of weight but could be a mid-round steal for Denver in 2021.
