Ah, the Chiefs–the nemesis–the kryptonite.  This will mark Drew Lock’s second career game against his hometown team and the goal is for it to go better than last year as Denver lost at snow-packed Arrowhead Stadium.

Coming into this game, the Broncos are buzzing with confidence following two AFC East wins, and that flows right into this game as the defense gets a turnover on the opening possession with Von Miller providing some throwback strip-sack heroics.

Taking over in plus territory, Drew Lock marches the Broncos right down the field and fires an absolute bullet to Noah Fant on a deep out in the corner of the end zone.

In classic Mahomes fashion, he marches right back down the field and hits Travis Kelce for an easy score.  Some additional fireworks take place the remainder of the half, but the Broncos trail headed to the locker room 17-14.

Getting the ball to begin the half, Melvin Gordon takes things into his own hands, rushing for 58 yards on 6 carries in the possession alone, and capping it with an 8 yard score in the red zone to put the Broncos back on top–this time for good.

The Chiefs manage another field goal but midway through the fourth quarter Mahomes coughs the ball up again, this time via a Justin Simmons interception and Drew Lock cashes in to Jerry Jeudy for an 18 yard score.

The Broncos add another touchdown for good measure following a turnover on downs, and finally end the dry-spell against the Chiefs that date back to the Super Bowl year of 2015.

Final Score:  Broncos 35  Chiefs 20
