Week 4:  New York Jets – Tylor Walden Follow @tyflyguy15

The Denver Broncos make a quick turnaround after their big matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and travel to the east coast for the second road game as the New York Jets await them. With the Broncos facing the Bucs and Patriots in weeks three and five, getting a win in week four is going to be important. Therefore, the Broncos cannot afford a slip up.

This game will be interesting because I am not certain what the Jets will look like this season. Back in 2018, the Broncos visited a Jets team that seemed to be going nowhere. However, it was the Broncos who got spanked by virtue of a 34-16 loss. It was the first of two games where the Broncos allowed a 200 yard rusher.

They made Sam Darnold look like an all pro in that game as well. But hopefully things will be different this time around. This will be the first time since that meeting that these two teams face off. Let us not forget that this will be a Thursday night game as well.

Lock vs Darnold will be quite the matchup. But I think the story will be how the Broncos play in an east coast game on a short week. I believe Lock will out-play Darnold, throwing for at least 50-75 more yards. I will look for Phillip Lindsay and Melvin Gordon to run all over the defense, but the game will be close. However, I do not see the Broncos trailing at all in this game.

Look for a low scoring game as the Broncos secure the win over the Jets. At halftime, there will be one touchdown each, but McManus will kick two field goals to make it a 13-7 halftime lead before the Broncos squeeze out a close win.

Final Score:  Broncos 23  Jets 17
