We at Predominantly Orange are a bunch of homers, right?  Some real orange goggles being worn!

12-4 is what this crew has this team at collectively predicting the roster.  While this certainly seems to be overly optimistic, and probably the absolute ceiling for this team, are there any outcomes in these predictions that anyone see being totally unrealistic?  Yeah, we don’t either.

This is a young team, but a very talented team.  At the end of the day their success is going to come down to the right arm of number 3.  If Drew Lock can make the second year leap that we’ve seen from the likes of Carson Wentz, Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson then a 12-4 record and legitimately competing for the AFC West crown is 100% realistic.  If he shows to be about what he was last year, then 8-10 wins is more likely, and if he regresses then we are back in the 6-7 win category.

The Predominantly Orange crew are clearly optimists at this point, and why not?.  We get to hear every day about where Lock is at, how his teammates have taken to him, and of course our daily dose of Broncos training camp highlights which generally features some version of a Drew Lock Daily Dime!

So there you have it, the Broncos are going 12-4.  They may or may not win the AFC West with that record, but either way will be in the playoffs regardless for the first time since 2015.  That should be the goal for this team–get to the playoffs.  Any success in the playoffs for such a young team is just gravy, but there is zero reason that they should not be a playoff team.

12-4–burn that into your brain, and will it into existence Broncos Country–12-4!
