Week 16:  Los Angeles Chargers- Cameron Parker

Interestingly, the Chargers will face Denver a few games earlier. This is the second meeting and the second to last game of the regular season.  With the Denver Broncos in this schedule, this will be pivotal game to decide playoff positioning. If Denver is truly vying for a top seed this season or a wild card, then these next two games are critical to securing that place in postseason.

The Chargers are a new look team led by Tyrod Taylor. Although that might change as well. By week 16, Taylor may not be the starter as Justin Herbert was selected inside the top ten and has the potential to be the franchise guy.

There is no more Phillip Rivers and the weapons are still there, but the true test will be defensively. Denver is catching a break with without Derwin James who was lost for the year.  Emotionally it will be a tough fought game. Chris Harris playing for a rival and Melvin Gordon being a Broncos back creates a new flavor on this rivalry.

This game will not be the first time against the Chargers.  Lock made his first career start against these chargers, as well as an earlier season win seeing him come into this game 2-0 against he AFC West rival.  Will Lock be able to make it 3-0?  I certainly think Denver pulls out this win as we are a week away from “put-up or shut up” season, and Denver is planning on entering the playoffs in-style.

Final Score:  Broncos 23  Chargers 10
