In-house options and a modest depth signing

The Denver Broncos will undoubtedly look first to their current in-house options of Jeremiah Attaochu and Malik Reed to immediately fill the shoes of Von Miller.

Bradley Chubb, as has been noted throughout the past couple of weeks, is going to be limited to start the season if he’s even actually available at all. At this point, no one really knows what’s going on there.

Malik Reed was the starter for most of last season on the opposite side of the field as Miller. The Broncos were really impressed with him in his second camp and he drove a 2019 fifth-round pick in Justin Hollins off the roster completely.

Reed is a young and hopefully progressing player who will need to make a huge leap in year two.

Jeremiah Attaochu was wisely re-signed to a one-year deal this past offseason after a strong finish to the 2019 season with the Broncos. He was very solid as a complementary player to Miller at the time and the Broncos are now going to be expecting even more of him.

As for the depth? The Broncos could look into a modest depth signing like this one suggested by Benjamin Allbright:

Irving has one career sack and as Allbright alluded to, he has some history with Vic Fangio.

I’ve got eyes on some more high-profile guys who have history with Fangio…
