The Broncos and Governor of Colorado are at work to allow fans into home games at the end of September.

It is safe to say that the current state of the world due to COVID-19 has not been a fun one. But Broncos fans can potentially have something to look forward to at the end of September.

Per a source, which has been reported by 9 News in Denver, there is a chance Broncos fans can attend home games this season.

The Denver Broncos COVID-19 task force, led by Brittany Bowlen, and Governor Jared Polis have been working extensively to provide a safety plan to allow fans to safely attend games at Empower Field at Mile High this season.

According to the source, Governor Jared Polis will announce on Tuesday that fans can start attending games on September 27th. This date will be Denver’s second home game of the season against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

This is some great news for fans who were looking to attend at least one game this season. But I am certain there will be some rules for this. There is also the decision on how many fans will be allowed.

What are the safety measures and what is the fan limit at Empower Field?

More information on this will likely come on Tuesday. Some of the rules could involve social distancing and making wearing a mask mandatory when entering the stadium. There will also be a limit on how many fans are going to be let in.

Empower Field at Mile High can hold up to 76,125 people at the stadium. As of right now, the number of fans allowed could be no higher than 15,000 for the Buccaneers game. That is roughly 20 percent of max capacity.

I am very intrigued to see how this will all go down. But as long as the proper precautions are executed properly, it will be awesome to see fans at Mile High again.
