Offense

It would make sense for the Denver Broncos to be keeping at least one player for each position group on the team.

Assuming, for the moment, that all or most players clear waivers, here are the guys offensively I think the team will look to keep around.

QB: Brett Rypien/someone from another team
RB: LeVante Bellamy
FB: Jeremy Cox
WR: Juwann Winfree, Fred Brown
TE: Troy Fumagalli
OL: Patrick Morris (C)

The Broncos will want to have a third quarterback on the team in some capacity, and Rypien is the leading candidate.

With that being said, it wouldn’t be at all surprising to see a reunion between the Broncos and Trevor Siemian.

That’s right.

Siemian was cut by the Tennessee Titans, and the Broncos had previously looked at him as a backup option. Having Siemian or a player like him on the practice squad is a rare roster exception the Broncos should try to exploit.

This would give the Broncos three quarterbacks with starting NFL experience and only using two active roster spots.

I could see the Broncos looking at other offensive linemen from other teams, but Morris was on the active roster last year and Bailey spent the entire 2019 season with the team as well.

If Troy Fumagalli clears waivers, the Broncos would be able to keep their fantastic tight end group intact.

The wide receiver duo of Juwann Winfree and Fred Brown would be a solid one to bring back considering Winfree was a sixth-round pick just last year and Brown spent time on the regular-season roster and could be valuable in case of injury.
