4. Josh Watson, LB
Depending on how many linebackers the Denver Broncos decide to keep, Josh Watson is a player the team has been high on for a while now.
Watson was an undrafted player last year out of Colorado State, and he has all the necessary physical and athletic tools to be a successful pro.
The Broncos brought him onto the active roster last year and between he and Josey Jewell, it looks like there are another couple of linebackers capable of being the special teams aces for Denver.
In the earlier portion of the offseason, Watson was a player that special teams coordinator Tom McMahon singled out as a player to keep an eye on for the special teams going forward, and even with young Justin Strnad coming into the picture (as I write this, it’s being reported that Strnad could be out for the year with a wrist injury), Watson should have a role.
Even before Strnad’s injury, however, Watson had made some nice plays in camp and has some equity with the front office and coaching staff dating back to last season.
