Going into the 2020 draft, everyone knew the Broncos were targeting wide receiver help for Sutton and Lock. No one knew that Alabama superstar Jerry Jeudy would be available at pick 15, but he was.

Now, defenses are going to have to pick their poison – who do you cover? If you double Sutton, Jeudy is going to make his defender look silly. If you double Jeudy, Courtland will just Moss you.

Even if you find a way to cover both of them, what are you going to do about Noah Fant? He’s too big and too fast for your linebackers. I feel bad for any defensive coordinator tasked with solving this issue and that’s without even mentioning KJ Hamler, the speed demon who will break your ankles while he runs straight past you.

It’s easy to see how adding each of these pieces to the Denver receiving corps helps Drew Lock, but it’s going to have the unexpected side effect of turning Courtland Sutton into a monster. He couldn’t be stopped last year, and he’s only going to go further in 2020.

He’s going to blaze through the Pro Bowl on the way to his spot on an All-Pro roster. It might as well have his name on it.
