Inside linebacker Todd Davis can tell that the Denver Broncos have an energy that was not present last year.

The Denver Broncos are continuing to transition into a team filled with leaders. That not only helps the team chemistry but focus as well.

They made the change from Vance Joseph to Vic Fangio, and while they have not had the biggest success, they continue to grow.

According to inside linebacker Todd Davis, the team appears to have an energy that had been lacking in recent years.

"“I think it’s a new energy. I think the young guys that we have are bringing a lot of energy. [WR Jerry] Jeudy has come in and is making people miss, making a lot of spectacular catches. I think that the wide receivers that we brought in, the tight end  (Nick Vannett) that we brought in, the young guys on offense I feel like have really juiced up our offense and make our offense feel like it never has since I’ve been here. I think it’s going to be a really great offense and a really great year for them.”— Broncos ILB Todd Davis (quotes from Broncos PR)"

The offense has really struggled over the last couple of years. It was not until the final five games of the 2020 season that Broncos Country (cautiously) assumed that the team found their franchise quarterback.

Now, the Broncos hopefully will have their starting quarterback situation figured out for the next, well, long time. That is one of the biggest things—if you don’t have success in the quarterback department, it is pretty hard to win football games.

The Broncos have just three players (Von Miller, Brandon McManus, Todd Davis) who were on the team when they won Super Bowl 50 following the 2015 season. They lost several key leaders including Peyton Manning after that season.

But the team has brought in several guys who can make and have made an impact in terms of leadership and focus. That also includes the coaching staff.

Along with Vic Fangio, Denver also has a guy in Mike Munchak who has a ton of experience and success in the league.

It is very apparent that it is not enough to just have talent. Chemistry is crucial to a sports team, and the Broncos appear to be on their way with it.
