Takeaways

Of course, stopping opposing offenses from reaching the end zone is the biggest thing when winning football games (duh). For defenses, the best way to do that is to get some takeaways.

The Broncos finished in the top-3 of the league in fumble recoveries in 2019, recovering 59.46 percent of fumbles. Per Pro Football Reference, the Broncos recovered 19 fumbles during the course of the 2019 season.

In the interception department, they snatched ten. Their interception-leader of last year, Chris Harris Jr. moved on to the Chargers this offseason but hopefully, there will be more opportunities for players such as Justin Simmons to catch those passes from quarterbacks.

Denver has a cornerback group that is fairly inexperienced, for the most part. They are young. So, getting takeaways would be a tremendous boost to their confidence.

Next. Are there really eight 30-year-olds better than Von Miller?. dark

The hope is that A.J. Bouye will be able to step in as the No. 1 cornerback and be dominant. Maybe he will lead the team in interceptions. My money would be on Justin Simmons, though.
