3. Tyrie Cleveland, WR

This might just be me again, but cutting Tyrie Cleveland would really sting for me.

I think there’s a good chance that if Cleveland were to be waived, he would make it back to the practice squad, but the Broncos would be taking a big risk.

Although he was only a seventh-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, Cleveland is one of the best special teams players in this year’s rookie class.

He has an excellent combination of size, speed, explosiveness, and he runs pretty darn good routes too.

Cleveland obviously has to prove himself worthy of a top 53 roster spot and he’s one of the guys I think is right on the cusp in that 53-60 range, but you also have to project sometimes as a team builder as well.

I think Cleveland is in a roster battle with players like Tim Patrick and maybe DaeSean Hamilton, and I wrote earlier in the offseason about how I might go about determining those roster battles.
