Another member of the media thinks that the Denver Broncos can make a push for the playoffs.

There have been quite a few people, it seems, that are on the Denver Broncos hype train for the 2020 season.

Add another one to the list, as Pete Prisco of CBS Sports thinks highly of the team in 2020. The main reason is that they finally have a quarterback who is the unquestioned starter.

In his article of biggest questions for each team in the NFL, Prisco was asked, What can Denver expect from Drew Lock, who is now the full-time starter?

You can read his response here. The last sentence is a big one, too.

"With an improved receiving group, the Broncos will push for a playoff spot because of Lock.— Pete Prisco of CBS Sports"

The Broncos have a lot of additions from this offseason that are going to make a big impact on the team, not only for 2020 but for years to come.

On offense: Graham Glasgow is going to start at right guard. Melvin Gordon is going to pair nicely with Phillip Lindsay and help out the team’s young quarterback, potentially with picking up reads (running backs see some things quarterbacks may not see). Let’s not forget the rookie receivers, Jerry Jeudy, K.J. Hamler, and potentially Tyrie Cleveland.

The Broncos need to be better at extending drives

The Broncos had the fourth-highest three-and-out percentage during the 2019 season at .289 percentage, with the highest being the New York Jets at .309 percent. They just could not keep drives going.

But with the (necessary) changes that have been made, there is reason to be optimistic. I expect offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur to let Lock be himself and utilize his strengths (such as letting it rip).

It won’t always be pretty for the young offense but maybe, just maybe, the Broncos offense will be considered one of the top units in the league. Lock will be a big factor in making that happen.
