De’Vante Bausby, CB

The big question is, can cornerback De’Vante Bausby make a productive return to the Broncos defensive backfield in 2020? Bausby did show a ton of promise in his five games before suffering a bad neck injury.

He recorded 13 tackles, allowed just 8 of 15 receptions, and only 9.4 yards per reception allowed.

This is going to be a fun battle to watch in training camp this year. But he is going to have to show that he can feed off of his strong five games in 2019 while in training camp due to the NFL eliminating every preseason game.

Bausby will be in competition with the likes of Davontae Harris, Duke Dawson, Isaac Yiadom, and rookie Michael Ojemudia. Undrafted free agent Essang Bassey is also a candidate to take a roster spot.

In my mind, it would be a shock to see Bausby not make the roster in 2020. But it would also be a pleasant surprise to see him perform like he did last year. If nobody beats him out in training camp, he could play an important depth role for the team in 2020.
