OLB Bradley Chubb

Another defensive player who has seen his name on the NFL Network Top 100 leaderboards, Chubb is coming off of a torn ACL that knocked him out for most of the 2019 season.

He is a candidate for the Comeback Player of the Year award, which he had a good chance of securing, I think. That was until news broke that Washington Football Team quarterback (Whoa that’s weird to type) Alex Smith got clearance to return to football action.

Nonetheless, Chubb was dominant as a rookie and he will hopefully be able to play a full season in 2020. That will be his first full season with Vic Fangio leading the way.

Heck, he may even be in line to be the team’s defensive MVP.

Chubb had 12 sacks as a rookie in 2018. He proved that he was worth the fifth overall pick that the Broncos used to select him with. The Broncos will return several key defenders such as Miller, Justin Simmons, and Shelby Harris. Those are just some of the key players who will surround Chubb.

I expect things to go a lot smoother in 2020 for the Denver defense and Chubb is going to be a big part of their plans.

Chubb was the 82nd player on the NFL Network Top 100 list of 2018. Coming off of a torn ACL, it would not be a surprise to see him a little bit lower because he will have to prove that he was the same dominant player he showed he can be in college and in his first season as a pro.
