Isaac Yiadom

Many will argue that Isaac Yiadom has not worn out his welcome, but those are likely fans looking at the glass as half full. That’s totally fine. But if you look at the same glass as half empty, how much better is Yiadom than Brendan Langley, another third-round defensive back drafted by the team who was a total bust.

Yiadom has one interception in two seasons and has looked lost in coverage more times than you would like to see. There is room for growth, but the Broncos should have a healthy Bryce Callahan this season as well as another third-round pick, Michael Ojemudia, which will cut into Yiadom’s snaps.

The Broncos certainly don’t want to give up on Yiadom just yet. After all, they invested a high draft pick on him just two seasons ago. But the year before that, they chose Langley, tried him at cornerback before moving him to wide receiver and then eventually realizing he just wasn’t that good of a football player.

Hopefully, that won’t be the same fate for Yiadom, but it certainly remains a possibility. This will be a key season for him if he wants to continue his career in Denver. He will likely make the team this season but if circumstances remain the same next year, he will easily be in the “worn out their welcome” club.
