Denver Broncos: Tom McMahon’s seat is white hot

Broken But Promising

McMahon took over a team that ranked 30th overall in the league by Football Outsiders but was showing some signs of life.

Shortly after his hiring, the team signed Pro Bowl punter Marquette King away from the Raiders to take advantage of his booming leg in the Mile High air.

After averaging 47.4 yards per punt in 2017, his chances of flipping the field and pinning the opponent deep looked promising.

Isaiah McKenzie, after a rookie year of struggles, was still bringing his speed to the return game.

He had an entire offseason to correct the drops that tormented him. The only piece missing was a coordinator with experience, which McMahon brought a decade of.
