The Denver Broncos agreed to terms with sixth-round pick Netane Muti.

The Denver Broncos got a potential steal when they saw and took their chance at drafting offensive guard Netane Muti in the sixth-round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Muti has come to an agreement with the Broncos on his rookie contract, the team announced.

Muti undoubtedly would have been drafted higher had he not been injury prone.

But Muti had a strong combine performance, as he bench pressed 225 lbs an incredible 44 times. Among the best traits of him is his run blocking.

When it comes to the offensive line, the Broncos have struggled to find the right combination to be a successful unit. But they have addressed the unit over the last couple of years.

In 2017, the team drafted left tackle Garett Bolles in the first round, but after struggling early on, the team decided not to pick up his fifth-year option.

They drafted guard Dalton Risner in the second round of the 2019 draft and he became a starter instantly. The team also drafted Lloyd Cushenberry to start at center long-term and signed right guard Graham Glasgow from the Detroit Lions this offseason.

With the signing of Glasgow before the draft, Muti isn’t going to become a starter right off the bat. In fact, the team may keep him off the field for the entire 2020 season so that he can come back in 2021 fully healthy.

Glasgow may not be the long-term plan for the Broncos, and it is great that the team has addressed the guard position to reflect what they want in the future long-term.

But the team got a potential steal when they took Muti and hopefully he will be able to prove them right in time.

Muti has played at multiple positions across the offensive line in college, which makes things interesting in regards to what their plans may be for him.
