Denver Broncos: Expectations for every rookie in 2020
McTelvin Agim, DL
2020 expectation: Make a splash when your number is called
The Broncos are deep on the defensive line.
McTelvin Agim fit right in with John Elway’s annual tradition of using a top 100 pick on the defensive front seven, and looking ahead to 2021, he could be a significant contributor to the defensive line.
I think we will see Agim get some snaps in 2020, but I don’t think they are going to be many unless he is forced into action due to injury.
Jurrell Casey, Shelby Harris, Mike Purcell, Dre’Mont Jones, and even DeMarcus Walker could get more snaps than Agim this year and I think the Broncos will bring this guy along slowly.
He has the versatility to play all over the line and make an impact, and he plays with great intensity and effort. Wearing the number 95 in his rookie season, we expect nothing less.
Whenever Agim’s number is called, I expect him to make life tough for opposing offensive linemen with his speed, strength, and hustle, but he should not be expected to come in and win a starting job right away.
