Iron Man Justin Simmons hopefully will continue adding on to his brilliant career

Justin Simmons was the Broncos’ best defender in 2019. He played in 100 percent of the team’s snaps over the last two seasons and allowed just 52.8 percent of targets his way to be caught by a receiver. That is a difference of 18.3 percent. Phenomenal.

Simmons has top-notch play recognition and ball skills. Over the last two seasons, Simmons has intercepted seven passes. According to Pro Football Reference, Simmons was the 130th-targeted defender in 2019.

The NFL has become a passing league and Simmons is at the top of the league when it comes to defending it. It will forever bother me that Simmons was not voted to the 2019 Pro Bowl after playing every single defensive snap of the season.

But if he can continue to play at the level he has over the last couple of seasons, Simmons is going to make things easy for voters of the Hall of Fame.
