1. Von Miller

Despite what has been said about Von Miller in the last year by people who think he’s not what he used to be or whatever, there’s no denying not only his importance to the team on the field but as the heart and soul of the team in general.

Von Miller is the leader of the Denver Broncos. He is the guy everyone on the team is going to look to when things are not going so well. He’s also the guy setting the example for everyone in terms of what it means to work hard and be a professional.

Miller contracted COVID-19 earlier in the offseason and was one of the first major NFL players to reportedly test positive, so I’m not sure how much that will factor into his decision of whether or not to play in 2020.

Regardless, whether by injury or opt-out, the Broncos can’t afford to go a whole season or even a majority of the season without Von Miller. He’s critical to the team’s success.

Miller draws double- and even triple-teams. He makes everyone around him better.
