Week 11: 2011 vs. New York Jets
Thursday Night Football in 2011 pitted the Denver Broncos and the New York Jets in a mostly defensive slugfest.
The Broncos were 4-5 heading into this game and the Jets were 5-4, both teams trying to stay relevant past the midway point of the 2011 season.
Until the last few minutes of the fourth quarter, the only points on the board from the Broncos were a Matt Prater field goal and a pick-six by Andre Goodman.
Remember that name?
Then came Tebow time.
Tebow engineered a game-winning drive for the ages in this one. He led the Broncos 95 yards in 4:56 on 12 plays, capped off with an iconic 20-yard touchdown run which gave the Broncos their 17-13 lead.
The defense held on the Jets’ last-minute attempt to come back, and the Broncos improved to 5-5 on the season.
