Week 9: 2011 @ Oakland Raiders

Many thought the Tebow magic was just a mirage after the Broncos had been blown out on their home field against the Detroit Lions following a fascinating road win against the Miami Dolphins, and not much was expected of Denver at 2-5 heading into the Oakland Coliseum to face the 4-3 Raiders.

Tebow came out firing in this one and started the Denver scoring with a touchdown strike to Eric Decker after Oakland went up 3-0 to start the game.

After Decker’s touchdown, the Raiders scored 14 unanswered in the first half.

The Broncos came out in the third quarter firing again. Tim Tebow hit Eddie Royal for a 26-yard touchdown and the Raiders again answered back.

Willis McGahee took over the game late in the third quarter for the Broncos with a 60-yard touchdown run to tie the game at 24 apiece. In the fourth quarter, Eddie Royal took a punt return 85 yards to the house to give the Broncos a 31-24 lead before McGahee capped things off with another touchdown run to seal a road victory against the Raiders.

The Broncos ran for 299 yards and two scores in this one, also forcing three Raiders turnovers. That is a recipe for great success any week in the NFL.
