Denver Broncos: Available bargain free agents who could help in 2020
Logan Ryan, CB
I’ve been advocating for the Broncos to attempt to sign Logan Ryan since the beginning of free agency but apparently whiffed on that idea completely.
Not only did the Broncos pass on Ryan in free agency, but all 31 other teams did as well. It seems the veteran corner priced himself out of everyone’s range.
At this point, if the price for Logan Ryan is going down, consider me extremely interested in that.
The Broncos still have plenty of cap space, and they could try to sign Ryan to a reasonable one-year contract so he can hit free agency next offseason at the age of 30 again, although what more does this guy have to do?
He had 113 tackles last year in 16 games, four interceptions, four forced fumbles, 18 pass breakups, 4.5 sacks, four tackles for loss, eight quarterback hits, and a pick six off of Tom Brady in the playoffs.
Playing primarily from the slot, Ryan would give the Broncos another missile in the defensive backfield along with Kareem Jackson who can move around the formation and provide more of a veteran presence out there.
