Tyrie Cleveland – WR5/Special Teams ace

The Broncos could have a battle for the final few wide receiver spots on the roster that will be fascinating to watch unfold.

While it seemed during the 2020 NFL Draft that selecting a third wide receiver was a bit of overkill, part of the reason the Broncos used a seventh-round selection on Florida receiver Tyrie Cleveland was for his special teams prowess.

He was an awesome special teamer for the Gators.

He was also a very good receiver, but as the Gators transitioned quarterbacks and had so many mouths to feed in their offense, he ended up with only modest statistics.

Still, with his physical and athletic gifts along with his special teams abilities, it wouldn’t surprise me to see Cleveland take either Tim Patrick’s or DaeSean Hamilton’s roster spot depending on how things shake out.

I have been pretty bullish on Cleveland over the past couple of months and I think he has a really good shot of making an impact as a rookie.
