Von Miller

Von Miller is one of those players that Broncos fans are going to want on the team forever, but that rarely happens and 2020 could easily be Miller’s last season with the team.

Miller will turn 32 years old next offseason and though he appears to still have a lot left in the tank, if he has another eight-sack season, this will become a real conversation.

Miller has a club option on his contract for 2021 and though he also has one this year, it wasn’t really in play since it would have included a $17.8 million dead money hit. That number drops all the way down to $4.2 million next year.

Miller is still a superior defender, but he is coming off of a clear “off” year in Vic Fangio’s scheme. Now many people will point to the fact that Bradley Chubb was injured most of the season and teams were able to pay more attention to Miller, thus bringing his numbers down.

But Chubb will be back and healthy in 2020 which means Miller needs to get double-digit sacks.

It would be extremely hard for the team to move on from Miller and the odds of it happening may not seem great to some. He turned into a hero within the fanbase for a lifetime due to his performance in Super Bowl 50 and should remain a Bronco for life.

But at the end of the day, and you hear this all the time, the NFL is a business, first and foremost. Heck, Tom Brady is going to wear a Tamp Bay Buccaneers uniform this season.

If that can happen, anything can happen.

Next. What would signing Kaepernick mean?. dark

How many of these guys will be gone after 2020?

These are just five players on the roster that could be somewhere else next year. There are many others that could be added who will be unrestricted free agents, trade candidates, or something of the sort.

How man of these guys do you foresee playing somewhere else in 2021?
