Garett Bolles

This one is obvious, as Garett Bolles clearly faces a make-or-break season in Denver after the team chose not to pick up his fifth-year option.

Bolles is a player that is either loathed by much of the fanbase due to his propensity to be penalized for holding. Many fans even refer to him as “Garett Holds”. But that will all go by the wayside if he can put together a solid fourth year.

Bolles has numerous detractors who don’t believe that to be possible, but he has Mike Munchak in his corner as the team’s offensive line coach. The Broncos also did not draft and tackle and though Elijah Wilkinson is on the roster and could get the chance to start at some point this season, Bolles is currently the team’s starting left tackle, one of the most important positions on the field.

Bolles has certainly struggled since turning professional, but the Broncos have given every opportunity to the guy that they drafted, and you have to respect that.

Despite all of the holding penalties, Bolles is durable and plays with the kind of mean streak and commitment to his teammates that you love to see. Fans really need to give this guy a bit more credit.
