Isaac Yiadom, cornerback

Isaac Yiadom is one of a few cornerbacks on the roster who could have this same distinction.

Yiadom started eight games last year for the Broncos, and came back to the starting lineup after being benched early in the season.

The Broncos drafted Yiadom in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft out of Boston College after he impressed their coaching staff that year at the Senior Bowl.

There is no doubt that Yiadom has the physical tools to be a good NFL cornerback, but he has yet to put everything together at the pro level.

He’s been beaten far too often and made too many mistakes on the back end of big plays. He’s made enough mistakes that Yiadom doesn’t really get enough credit for the good things he has done for the Broncos, especially down the stretch of the 2019 season.

Yiadom could enter training camp as a starter along with veterans AJ Bouye and Bryce Callahan in the nickel defense, and he could also be beaten out for roster spots by the young guys behind him on the depth chart.
