Kaepernick should get a shot

It’s hard to keep a potential Kaepernick signing to a football-only discussion, but it needs to be. From a football standpoint, Kaepernick is better than Driskel and most of the backups in the league for that matter.

Anyone out there that says Kaepernick is not in the league strictly because he “can’t play” is fooling themselves. He’s not in the league because of the baggage that would come with him.

If the Broncos were to be willing to put that baggage aside, he could absolutely help from a football standpoint.

Kaepernick does not plan on changing his stance on things. But if your main worry is that he is going to get players to sit during the national anthem, it seems pretty apparent that from listening to other players around the league, a very large portion of them are already planning on doing that this coming season anyway.

Speaking specifically of the Broncos, if the team were willing to look into giving him another shot (forget about the previous one, it doesn’t matter anymore), then it might be a great landing spot for him.

Kaepernick may be closer than ever to returning to the league and should that happen and the Broncos happened to be interested, I would not be opposed.
